Pennsylvania Education Finance Symposium

The 2007 Pennsylvania Education Finance Symposium took place November 15-16, 2007 in Harrisburg, PA.

The event featured sessions on Pennsylvania's statewide education costing-out study, a review of property tax reform proposals currently before the General Assembly, and discussion of recent education funding poll results, as well as sessions on TABOR legislation, and recommendations of the Task Force on School Cost Reduction.

Participants also received an update on education finance issues before the state legislature from a panel of state policymakers, and learned about proposals currently before the legislature to establish a statewide funding reform commission and to create a statewide health benefits plan for school employees.
